Remind me again why so many Canadians cheerlead for this regime?

Do you mean outside of irking the American government?

Cuba is not a good country to run into legal difficulties with,
at least its not North Korea.

I would not want to drive anywhere south of the Mexican border.

In latin countries they have some weird laws on driving and it is easy to get into trouble.

I guess you didn't read the article, eh?

Don't let facts get in the way of good rant.

Yes, That I would drive that in Mexico or in Havana. It's a shame President Polk didn't annex Cuba. It would have saved a lot of trouble.

The Caribbean would be an American Lake. We could leave Bermuda and Jamaica
the way it is to show who PC we are. I don't think even President Polk would
push that far.

I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that in a lot of countries, he'd be in jail awaiting trial.

Seems he's "enjoying" a prolonged vacation, even though someone has to pay for it.

Strange that Cuba and Canada couldn't have a agreement to the effect that he could come home and that Canada promises that he would go back for the trial.

Contrary to Kenmores love of this 'socialist shithole" just add this to the list of reasons to avoid Cuba like the plague. There are far better Caribbean countries to visit with far less bullshit.

Although I feel very bad for this young man, one of the first things you learn when travelling, specifically to the islands is not to rent a car and drive. The locals don't drive like they do in Simcoe ON. I hope all works out well but he is at the mercy of local law.

There aren't too many refugees floating on inner tubes from Florida to
Cuba these days. Their Rum is pretty good though.
