Where were the persians from? Were they considered to be Greek?
Thought I'd answer this little question for you if you already didn't know it.
Persians came from an area called (Fars or Pars in modern Iran) and like the Romans, expanded their power to encompess their empire.
Persians were not Greek but were of the same peoples called Indo-Europeans, different from Arabs and Hebrews who are Semitic peoples.
Didn't know they weren't Arabs... Cool.
I just found out a few days ago my...uh...Great grandfather was from that area. He wasn't sure what country he was born in though.

Wasn't really any borders, or they moved a lot. He was in an area with a lot of "Ethnic Cleansing" and I am not too sure which side of it he was on... He was only like 10 when he came to Canada. I think he was that young.
