Not as much as it will continue to in the future would be my guess.
The next Elizabeth Warren type is waiting at the healing lodge doors to be potlatched, would be my guess.
I wonder how often this sort of thing happens.

Government. Some piece of shit, took pity on poor, suffering Terri-Lynne (something she totally denied Tori Stafford in her final hours) and transferred her to a healing lodge, because she's suffered enough.
Healing lodges should be for FN inmates, don't want to be accused of cultural appropriation. Terri-Lynne needs to be in a Max Jail. In the Arctic. With no heat. And filled with angry, starving polar bears.
Total insult to the Stafford family.
That said I don’t understand why they would send her there. As I understand they’re typically for offenders with shorter time left, not for those with 15+ years before an unlikely parole date. Apparently there are some policy recommendations coming as a result.
You don’t need to be FN for a healing lodge and a healing lodge is still a federal detention centre. . She’s still serving a life sentence in prison.

Like her brother said she's playing the system and apparently winning. And yes white people can go to healing lodges but, they aren't designed for them given their lack of aboriginal values, traditions and beliefs. So given her heritage the chances for success in treating her proclivity to murder children is highly unlikely.
So, she either conned someone into thinking she was a native or found someone who was dense enough to actually think it'd be a good idea to send a child murderer serving a life sentence to a medium/minimum security facility.
Aboriginal Healing Lodges are correctional institutions where we use Aboriginal values, traditions and beliefs to design services and programs for offenders. We include Aboriginal concepts of justice and reconciliation. The approach to corrections is holistic and spiritual. Programs include guidance and support from Elders and Aboriginal communities.
CSC’s healing lodges for Aboriginal women offenders are minimum/medium-security facilities. For Aboriginal men, they are minimum-security facilities. Non-Aboriginal offenders can also live at a healing lodge. However, they must choose to follow Aboriginal programming and spirituality. In all cases, we thoroughly assess an offender’s risk to public safety before a decision is made to move him or her to a healing lodge.
Healing lodges operate in one of two ways. They may be funded and operated by CSC and our staff or they may be funded by CSC and managed by community partner organizations. In the second case, community partner organizations sign an agreement with CSC under Section 81 of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (CCRA). There are currently nine CSC healing lodges across Canada. Four are managed by CSC and five under Section 81.

Unfortunately given Corrections Canada's lack of transparency we'll never know what the thought process was for moving this bitch to a healing lodge rather than leaving her to rot where she belongs. A maximum security facility.
I don’t know where it says you need to have FN heritage in order to benefit from therapy based on aboriginal values and beliefs. You don’t have to be Swedish to benefit from Swedish massage and you don’t have to be Greek to gain insights from Greek philosophy
She was already in a medium/minimum facility before the transfer. And at any rate security level has nothing to do with the crime committed it’s about the likelihood of the inmate to attempt escape or harm self/others in the prison.

Do you honestly think she'll benefit from a healing lodge?
As for putting white convicts into healing lodges that may be but it's very uncommon. All you have to do is google healing lodges and you'll find that everything about them is geared to aboriginals not white people which brings us back to the crux of the issue.
Is this bitch a native just because she "identifies" as one and despite the fact she has zero native blood in her veins?
McClintic has previously identified herself as Indigenous, and the CSC says offenders can self-identify as Indigenous at any point during their sentence. However, inmates do not have to be Indigenous to be eligible for transfer to a healing lodge.

So besides not consulting with the natives about prisoner intake corrections Canada has also gotten on the SJW band wagon and now let's anyone identify as Native whether they are or not.
So given that she's already lied about her heritage to get herself transferred to a place that has been called a resort by some when compared to a prison, it becomes more and more apparent that she's playing the system for her own benefit and the idiots at Corrections Canada are her willing enablers.
But wait, it just gets better. She got herself into the perfect place for a person with her sick proclivities to be.
The healing lodge, called the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge, is under the management and control of Correctional Service Canada.

Talk about a fucked up gov't institution. Apparently some people in Corrections Canada think that it's a great idea to bring kids into an institution that's got child rapists and murders. But on the plus side the Elizabeth Fry Society spokes woman is more concerned about the women who committed the crimes being mistreated than the children that are being endangered.
So, once again I'll ask. If Corrections Canada is that dense about the safety of children do you seriously think they made the right decision about putting McClintic into an environment where she can potentially interact with children?

Again I’ll say that I don’t understand why she is being sent there’s. This woman will spend the rest of her life in custody and is still more than 15 years away from even her first opportunity to apply for parole. As I understand it, healing lodges are meant for inmates with much short time remaining before their release.

I say again: her race us irrelevant. She’s not the first white person to go to a healing lodge. Some white people may just be more receptive to the novelty of aboriginal-themed therapy over the conventional group counseling and bible-thumping pastors. Instead of therapy based on the bible or some psychology textbook it’s based on FN teachings. Big deal. Again you don’t have to be born and raised in an Asian family to study martial arts based on eastern philosophy so why would this be any different?

I’m not sure what bearing her race has on anything, but what would you have they do, a DNA test so certain services are only available to people with certain genetic markers?
A healing lodge for aboriginal women in Maple Creek, Sask., is under fire from the federal Public Sector Integrity Commissioner. A report from his office found that the lodge allowed employees to bring their children to the institution, putting them in the presence of convicted sex offenders and child abusers.

Welll it sounds like the people who actually work there don’t have the same fears you do, it might mean they actually take precautions with their children and the risks you think exist are being overblown. You’d be foolish to believe you care more about their children than they do, or that you know more about that facility and its inmates than they do. If it’s such an imminent danger as you say then I’m sure any day now you’ll have the satisfaction of saying “I told you so” to the parents of those children who refuse to let you save them from themselves.
I've had enough of the treating the murderers and rapists in society better than their victims.
While I agree the decision was ridiculous, what's the solution that's been presented?
I'd be happy to solve this particular problem.

Of that I have no doubt!
I believe I presented the idea of an unheated, bear filled Arctic prison.
I was thinking of slowly flaying her alive over a period of weeks and maybe even months assuming she doesn't die of an infection.
I mean she claims to be a Native so it's only fitting that she face a Native practice of justice.
