Four people are dead following a series of shootings in Penticton.
A suspect allegedly shot a man at downtown Penticton on Lakeview Road about 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Four people are dead in Penticton after a man went on a killing spree with a gun in two neighbourhoods Monday morning, and then surrendered at police headquarters.
Forgive me this in the midst of a tragedy but here's an example of someone who is uniquely Canadian.
He goes off the rails and kills four people but is then considerate enough of the police to not bother them with chasing him down and instead is polite enough to go straight-away to the police station to turn himself in.

Only in Canada.
That actually happens quite often. We take responsibility for our actions.
One of my favourite shows was 'Cops'. I considered it a comedy. Some guy would get pulled over for not signaling, rolls down his windows and a cloud of smoke rises out of the car. Cop asks "Have you been smoking anything illegal today?" choking back the cannabis smoke.
"No, officer! Well, I had a little weed earlier . . ."
They've live on that street for 20 years, so knew everybody involved.
