A first of its kind study from the University of British Columbia has found that melting glaciers will bring water shortages to one in four people living in Alberta.

    It won't affect most of us alive today, but if you have children or grandchildren in Alberta, it quite likely will.

    Most of the majot cities on the Prairies rely, at least in part, on glacial meltwater for their freshwater. If the glaciers they depend on melt too much...

    Actually, northern BC has been noted by some, "As Saudi Arabia is to oil, northern BC is to water."
