A serving member of the air force, who will be released on medical grounds, has sued the defence department for negligence over mould on navy ships, which he claims is at the root of his health problems.
Nice try but first off he'll have to prove his exposure has caused an ongoing condition and then he'll have to show it's debilitating effects even when he's not exposed to it. So I'd say this lawsuit is going nowhere.
And if he was to win it would open the flood gates for every Veteran with a lung condition and not just the Naval ones to file a claim regarding their service time exposure to things like mold and every other chemical known to man that we had the pleasure of ingesting, absorbing or, inhaling.
