Meet Canada's New Government, same as the old government.
and another great example of Toronto the sniveling getting special treatment from the feds.
Don't blame the guy asking for money. Blame the guy that gives it.
No sir. I don't like it.

How is this all about Toronto? Look at the list in the article. Nice try to toss a spin away from the real story 'rain.
Yes indeed. I didn't see one cent granted to Bombardier.........
We had a thread here about a month about the plight of those poor cities, and someone demanded facts of the Feds giving things to Toronto. This defnately fits the bill.
No. I don't like the federal government, this one, the last one, anyone, giving money to corperations. Businesses must stand on their own feet, and we really need to keep these companies in Canada, the government cannot subsidise them.

Except as usual the blame falls not on the federal gov't and not on the other cities but on the city who votes Liberal.
Your religious crusade against the Liberals clouds your judgement yet again.
If you can't shut you're mouth.
Please prove that you have ever objected when the liberals gave money to Bombardier, or any of these other business welfare cases.
If you can't shut you're mouth.
First off I support gov't subsidies as a means to promote industries. It isn't any different then farm subsidies or research grants. The problem is that it is often more political then other forms of gov't asistance.
Why did Canada get such low marks when it came to money invested in research and industrial promotion when the topic was examined from another angle?
You are over doing yourself with your hysterical anti-Liberalism.
Once again you dodged by attacking me instead of addressing the fact that even though "you don't like" what the feds did your biggest criticism came only for Toronto.
As usual.
must be contagious.
So you abstain?
must be contagious.
Abstain?
Forgotten how to comprehend english again hack boy?

I believe you meant to say:
Please elaborate on why these two require federal money?
* $27 million got doled out for a soccer stadium in Toronto.

Yet you aren't attacking this as a means to buy votes by the CPC as you would the Liberals.
Thats why I'm not the hack you are. I'm treating both the same unlike you. The idea that he federal gov't doles out money to support industries isn't that much different then research grants and farm subsidies or low stump fees.
Its part of wht they do and something you blamed the Liberals for when they did it but blame only the Liberal recipients when your party does it.
The actual specifics of who gets the money and the politics associated with it are the inherent problem I see, not the fact that the federal gov't helps out.
Off you go. On yer bike. I'm done for the night.
