TORONTO - The federal government has confirmed its decision to block a controversial foreign takeover of part of Canada's premier space technology firm, saying the proposed deal would not benefit the country.

I know a lot of fokls that work there, and they'll be happy. They weren't looking forward to designing land mines.

yeah a good decision there wasn't really any need to have it sold to the states or that company .its fine where it is and under canadian ownership .

Probably a good thing it was blocked. Anything owned in the states will be moved to China within a few years anyway! Too bad the US gov't isn't as proactive in foreign takeover bids, maybe we could still find something marked Made in USA on it.

Good move, glad to see Canadian taxpayer funded technology will remain under Canadian control.
