OTTAWA -- Cheeky headlines splashed in newspapers around the world about Canada's fallen foreign minister are making a mockery of the country's reputation, opposition critics charged Thursday.
I don't really buy the idea that the "prime minister has no time to read headlines." Every politician reads the headlines, even if only that. Also, mentioning the timing of this around the time of the PMs Euro tour, makes me wonder if perhaps the Liberals, and/or others, have been sitting on this for quite some time, just waiting for the most effective time to use it.
