OTTAWA - Via Rail's offer of free travel for the military throughout July has triggered a backlash, as soldiers serving in Afghanistan that month miss out on the deal but civilians back home enjoy it.
the via rail thing only meant for veterans, then the the army soldiers based on what i think in corroperation with the military members allowed free train rides... it use to be only for cf vetrans,,, then it was extended,, with who in power to allow it,,, only in july....My concern is that this was an open thing, during july,, to allow verterans because of the year of the veteran,,, im very confused that they would allow regualar cf members to get the same treatment.. i think its created a back log, and i dont thing the federal govt realized how many people could take advantage of the situation..... I was told this was totally based on for the year of the veteran, and nothing else... only for veterans to take advantage of the free train rides...
it was totaly meant for cf serving and veterans abroad, not for serving cf members and their wifes and kids... this total package was only given,, and i say given to cf retired veterans,,,, not to people serving in the armed forces.... You people think your getting a benefit, and when announced you take advantage..... think here,,, only to retired cf veterans.... think. military think they diserve everthing......
