Sandra Buckler, Prime Minister Stephen Harper's controversial communications director, has resigned.

Ms. Buckler was not well-liked by some MPs and cabinet ministers, who felt she was too controlling. At the weekly closed-door caucus meeting, she would always remind MPs not to speak to reporters.

One of many reasons we'd be better off with a US-style separation of executive and legislative. MPs are supposed to represent the people who elected them, not the wannabe dictator who leads their party.
