The Red Sox traded embattled slugger Manny Ramirez to the Dodgers late Thursday afternoon, SI.com has learned.

Bay isn't a better hitter than Manny, but he's still good,
and he'll play every day and be a good team guy....Manny isn't.
Wish Jays could have got Bay...but Pittsburgh wanted four
prospects...they wouldn't consider the Jay farm teams as a
good source of those.

Manny being Manny was apparently wearing a little thin in Beantown - know some hardcore Red Sox fans who are actually cheering this.

Would have been nice to see Bay in a Blue Jay uni but not at that price...

Okay, but I really wonder how long he's gonna put up with Manny being Manny?

The guy is a talent no doubt, but his inability to catch anything but a cold and his apparent lack of desire to even attempt to improve in that area, may be more than Joe's heart can take.
