That's a good loot for pirates if they ever saw one. Either to be used, or sold. Either way, very good loot. I am suprised though with all that fire-power the ship diddn't have better security. Like a Military vessle beside it or security personel heavily armed on the boat.

And the Russian Navy's commander, Adm. Vladimir Vysotsky, told Interfax that Russia plans to send combat ships to the Somali coast to fight piracy.

"We have such plans for the near future," he said. "However, Russian ships will not be involved in any international operations. They will do this job on their own."

Dosen't that sound ominous.

How could people not care. These pirates just got thier hands on some decent Russian armour and artillery. Depending on what Somali<sp> faction they work for this could seriously tip the balance of power.

My $10 says 90% of the "pirates" were in blackface, they were all hired from a post office box Johannesburgh and the tanks and ammo end up guarding some mining operation in the Congo.

I phrased that wrong. I meant nobody would care if the Russians went and sent the pirates down to Davy Jones' Locker where they belong.
