WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Chad Morrisette never imagined his Halloween yard decorations would prompt interest from the Secret Service.

A depiction of a VP candidate being hanged, while almost certainly a joke, requires some sort of security check on it. I don't support them having it taken down, but I think the individual concerned is doing enough damage to himself by leaving up such a disgusting display.

Did I mention its for Halloween?

If this was any other time of the year I would think they should seriously consider taking it down. As far as it being disgusting.... how do you figure? :?

Yes, I recognize it is for Halloween. It is a joke. Regardless, the Secret Service is obligated to give some sort of check.

"We're not treating it as a threat," he [the Agent in charge] told The Associated Press. "Halloween presents some interesting challenges for us with the masks and costumes."

As for disgusting, that is a matter of opinion, but I regard it as such since it would seem to imply that the individual concerned wishes for the death of Sarah Palin.

What about the statue they have of McCain on fire in the chimney, do you assume that the individual wants to burn McCain alive?

Just because someone has a halloween decoration up it shouldnt make you think that is what the person wishes for

This is on par with the tirades of 'Kill him' and 'Terrorist'. Not funny.

fair enough Eisen, and i can see the humor, but what do you think
would have happened if someone had put up
    a ' Barak Obama ' ??

I can hear the cries of 'KKK' and 'racist' and all the rest of it..
hey maybe, they guy just wants to hang women

and then why should this be any different ?

Ah, thats different though, white women where not lynched 40+ years ago.

I would be perfectly happy if you had Obama in a guillotine

i'm not really concerned one way or another.
hey, if this guy wants to hang a woman for Halloween, no probs.

But then lets not scream so loud if the Biden equivalent
    comes out.

Or Obama in a guillotine :)

Personally if I was doing the decorations I would have had McCain as a Zombie eating a baby and Obama being beheaded by an executioner with a scimitar.

Palin would be burned as a witch and Biden would be hung.

You do realize the Secret Service basically said those didn't really happen. Right?
