TORONTO -- After a cell phone goes skinny dipping in a portable coffee mug, many are likely to think it worthy of a repair instead of financing a new one.

Depends on how handy you are.
The backlight on my car radio went out so I took it apart, looked at the bulbs, went to the electronics store and got replacement bulbs for 5 bucks, soldered them on and done.

    *Edit*
Oh and about 3 hours total turn around time from dismantling the radio to getting it back in the car.
