The largest land settlement in Canadian history is in a holding pattern after hundreds of people from a Manitoba aboriginal community abstained from voting for the deal.

They clearly don't want the money bad enough, Retract the deal and withdraw all funds from them for whatever reason

What is fair market value of the land based on today's value? If the courts, back in the time of common sense, thought it was illegal, then there is a good chance it was. But then again, the Indians weren't the only ones who were being swindled by unscrupulous land speculators either.
