The violations stem from a Feb. 8, 2007, incident in which the company's Saint John mill released black liquor, a by-product of the pulp and paper process that is harmful to fish, into the St. John River.
I am sorta surprised to hear this sorta thing about Irving Oil or Irving Pulp & Paper, they are generally pretty good with regards to enviromental controls.
Trit, no doubt Irving built a nice little empire for themelves. But please dont try to imply they are some kind of environmental angels. It's a business.
