Manitoba flag outdated, says NDP

WINNIPEG — Manitoba should adopt a new flag, because the current one - as well as that of Ontario - is an archaic symbol of British rule, say some grassroots members of Manitoba's governing New Democrats.

piss off... it's our heritage... it BELONGS on the flags... just like here in Nova Scotia we have the reversal of the Scottish Cross of St. Andrews and the Rampant Lion... Canada itself is descended from our British Colonial rule... get a life, or a history book NDP

Who knows, maybe the new flag would be nice. Look at the current Canadian flag compared to what we used to have. Far, far superior IMHO.

Have a contest and if a suitable replacement is found, then so be it. If not, keep what they've got.

I agree, a contest would be best.

The Ontario government logo is what should go on the flag. That symbol of
the provincial flower. My personal opinion. Not sure what for Manitoba.

History regardless however. It should be a Canadian symbol now.
A historical image is fine, but I'd like it to be distinctively Canadian,
not a symbol used and brutalized all around the world.
