this seems pretty stupid... going to a lot of expense to "protect" criminals who don't deserve it...

The idiot(s) that came up with this idea should really think if they are suitable for their job.
My god, it makes you wonder how stupid can you get.

How about arresting these bozos instead of protecting them?

It will make the gang members easier to find for thier rivals.
Maybe they should stencil the exact address of said members on the barricades.
    Perhaps a little map too.

As well as a layout of their house and a list of their deepest fears.

What about putting the roadblocks around the gang members.
I'm thinking about 10 feet high, concrete roof and no windows.

    Stupidest.
    Idea.
    Ever.

It does seem a bit stupid but I think you are jumping the gun in saying it's a bad idea. Where those gangs live there are civilians as well. You can't just let gang members go around Canadian neighbourhoods and shoot up the place where children and families live. These road blocks make these gangs think twice about having to do a drive by when there is police road blocks nearby.

Why don't you guys just wait a couple of months to see if the idea actually works before you slam it.

You have a point Bacardi, but I still like the idea of listing thier address on it.

Considering the fact that even a .22 can travel up to two miles, I don’t see there’s much choice. These are in residential areas where a car speeding by is going to hit lots of things besides what they’re aiming at. Until our justice system can get off its collective asses, this will help to protect the neighbours.

Now exempting a neighbour from prosecution for firebombing a gangsters house…

How about deporting them back to SE Asia or China where they belong.

Brilliant. So the police are going to build a jail around these gangsters houses because BC Judges don't want to put them in jail.
The entire community and all its people must change and accommodate the presence of these highly dangerous idiots instead of just putting them in jail.

I say we put the judges in there too because they look to me to be on the same side.
