'Golden Girls' star Bea Arthur dies at the age 86

Arthur died peacefully at her Los Angeles home with her family at her side, family spokesman Dan Watt said. She had cancer, Watt said, declining to give further details.

I was a joy to see her on screen.
She was one of the good ones and truely enjoyed what she did.

i used to watch the Golden Girls with my mom. i loved the relationship between Dorothy and Sophia.
