Fears that a Victoria Cross medal belonging to a Canadian war hero would be auctioned off to a private collector were allayed Monday evening when the Canadian War Museum bought it for $240,000.

    It should be made illegal to sell like the medal of honor in the US.

    You can't put a price on the valor of the folks who earned that medal. Medals like that may be given, but should NEVER be sold.

    And here's the new Canadian version of the VC. No English words so as to bring the VC up to date. Latin offends nobody, not even the French-speaking Canadians. God Bless those Romans!
