Former NHL player Peter Zezel passed away at a Toronto hospital on Tuesday, after a long battle with a blood disorder.

As a former neighbour of Peter, his parents and his sister, this news is really sad.

This guy is a class act. He would come out and talk to us when we'd knock on his door and when he wasn't home, his parents would hand out autographed pictures of him.

R.I.P. Peter.
