The garbage clean-up after the Pride parade may have gone well but Torontonians will have to clean up after themselves on Canada Day without the help of the city, officials say.

I think everyone all across the country should have to clean up after themselves on Canada Day. What kind of pride do we have in our country if we think it's acceptable to leave tons of trash all over our streets after celebrating the birth of our nation?

I think this is the only time I have agreed with you on anything! 8O I find it harder and harder to listen to our younger generation complain about pollution when their own school grounds look like a landfill site. It takes as much effort to pick up your own trash as it does to throw it to the ground.

You should see Canada Day in Ottawa. The mess left after the fireworks are done is horrific. The streets are filled with garbage, and even Parliament Hill looks like a garbage dump.

I find it "funny" that Toronto would clean up for Pride Day but not Canada's birthday.
