Yes and no - IF he can get back to his form from 2 years ago then I think all will be forgiven but last year it seemed like he spent too much of his time searching for the "big hit" and not enuff time guardin his own end of the ice.

Awesome day for Flames fans. First we lock up a top-5 defenceman long-term and add him to an all-star blueline corps that's going to turn the 'Dome into a dry gulch next year for visitor's offense. Second, Edmonton fucks up royally with Heatley and adds the second biggest locker-room cancer in the league (next to Sean Avery of course) to their roster.

It can't get any better than this for hockey in Calgary for next season. I'm about ready to go plotz right in my pants I'm so happy! Boo-Yah!

If Phaneuf was traded all hell would break loose in Calgary.

The general public didn't know that he was playing with brusied ribs all season long, it definately lowered his level of play, I think we will see a big difference next season,. and F%$^in A on the Bouwmeester deal, we needed it.
