Animal cruelty investigators aren't sure if a shockingly neglected dog found in Clarington, east of Oshawa, will survive and are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of its owner.
It is a shame, the 1000 dollar reward is worth more than the punishment, the guilty party might as well snitch themselves out, and collect the 1000 bucks, and take the slap on the wrist that comes with it. Time to get tough with these people.
While I would never value a dog's life as much as that of a person, animal cruelty is no simple matter. Stiffer fines, community service, jailtime and the like must be on the table. It sickens me that people allow this to happen.
