The conventional view of human evolution and how early man colonised the world has been thrown into doubt by a series of stunning palaeontological discoveries suggesting that Africa was not the sole cradle of humankind.

I agree. On that topic I was watching a fascinating program on History Channel this past week that had to do with archaeological digs in Virginia. Seems the arrow heads and spear heads they are finding at a number of sites back east are of the European silex type and not of the North American clovis type.
The silex points are being found in strata dating 20,000 to 40,000 years ago while clovis points generally date no further back than 20,000 years.
The program carefully avoided coming out and saying the obvious that the east coast of North America was settled by Europeans long before the so-called 'Native Americans' came along.

Kennewick man would be one of those Europeans.
