Well, look at the bright side, at least he isn't charged with murdering anyone. 8O

From the sounds of it, it looks like he may have had more than one accidental discharge. 8O

Certainly not a 'Proud Canadian Moment'. Refreshing though to see the upper echelons being held to the same standards as the rank and file.

While I wouldn't say this was correct or even good there is something to keep in mind. Soldiers ina war zone are getting shot and lead a life far from anything normal, They are in a situation where they are getting shot at surrounded by people who hate your guts. These folks consider it a religious duty to kill you even if they kill themselves in the process. You don't have any "time off" to mentally refresh yourself.

While I don't condone this stuff I can understand that people in this situation may "fall of the wagon" and get involved in something like this.
In WW II this sort of thing happened all the time. It's part of war and I'm sure there are many of these "relationships" doing on.

It's not right, but in the context of war it is understandable.

Maybe that would explain the first incident, if you have a twisted mind :P

No not a twisted mind, this stuff goes on all the time, her this man is defending his country's interests. It's easy here is sit on your ass in a nice comfy chair and type out the PC version of what you would like to see.

It's onother thing to be overseas in a foreign land in a very foreign culture getting shot having to make life and death decisions all the time.

I'm not condoning what he did, you can cut him some slack.
