Campbell has done enough to, I mean for BC now. The Olympic debt, the HST, Carbon tax, he's achieved all he can without the people of BC actually having a lynching party one sunny Sunday afternoon.
Although I tend to agree with Scotty, Campbell has run his time, but I'd question Mr Nelsons motives. I lived in Williams Lake for a number of years and shared a few bar tables with Scott Nelson, I'm thinking he'll be putting his name up for leadership of the Liberal Party of BC before too long. Say, the next Liberal leadership convention.

Good luck to him with that. Who in the hell outside of Williams Hole, I mean Lake has ever heard of this guy. He'll be entering a crowded field if he does go for it, with people that are known province wide.
Too bad Dianne Watts stepped back - she could get me to vote Liberal again. Let's hope she's being coy and waiting for a draft Dianne movement.
I can not see how Gordo can last another election after the HST. It's looking more and more like a route for the NDP come the next election.
He won't last till the next election but if the Conservatives get their shit together they may be able to give the NDP a run, since alot of people haven't forgotten their digressions while they were in power.
The weird thing is that I don't think any party actually thought that the petition would go through so they hadn't planned their campaigns, figuring they still had a few more years left.
But no matter what happens, good old Gordo is so arrogant and stubborn that the BC Lib's will likely have a hard time getting him out of office and even if they do whose going to take Beloved Leaders place?
One of the Gang of Four.... Hansen, Falcon, Coleman or DeJong? I Somehow don't think that anyone connected with the stench of Campbells past lies will be acceptable to the BC Voters, so for all the good it's going to do them in the polls they may as well run Gordon Wilson as their party leader again.

I'd be interested to see if the Ont PC's have the balls to say they will roll back all the new things that are now taxed at 13% when they were never taxed before by Ontario.
I doubt it. I also doubt the Ont Tories will roll back the 'health-care premium' either.
The difference between shite (Ont Liberals) and less-shite (Ont Tories) is narrowing.
Just like on the Federal scene.
In BC there is the NDP and there is the 'get everyone together under some sort of coalition to keep out the NDP' which gets so corrupt, out of touch and self-serving it needs to be tossed out every 10 - 15 years.
Campbell blew his chance to resign right after the Olympics and leave the arena with dignity. He's now humbled by the very man who left the ring covered in shit and handed the province to the NDP on a platter.
I'm just wondering how dalton got away with the HST in Ontario or is it just a lot newer here than in BC?

1% lower than in Ont. But Dalton didn't lie about not bringing in the HST just before the election, then bring it in withing days of winning it. Dalton had a much better PR campaign, and you guys get way more money in your pocket to offset the HST than we do. For BC, I believe the cutoff is 20k to get an HST cheque, and it's maybe 600 a year. From what I remember reading, a couple earning 160k in Ont still gets a HST refund. (Seems a bit excessive to me, I would have made it 30k per person, after that you can afford a slight tax hit.)
