The federal government has quietly tightened screening regulations at airports so passengers boarding flights must show their faces at boarding gates, amid concerns that Muslim women were being allowed to board flights without removing their veils.
But the new rules could also create headaches for people whose appearance have changed significantly, or who have aged noticeably, since they had their photo taken for identification documents. Such passengers could now be turned away at the boarding gate.
Maybe better to be turned away at the boarding gate than denied entry into another country for the same reason. If your appearance changes, you've got to update your documentation, or you're fucked.
Some Muslim organizations have said the review is part of a broad campaign to demonize women who wear veils that cover the face, such as the niqab or burka.
As opposed to demoralized which is being done by wearing one!
i like this, it kinda forces them to second think whats more important/real. Either their's an invisible fictional person in the sky who wants you to wear veil..or 100 some odd visible real people who want you to NOT wear a veil. one or the other. your choice.
I take off my shoes to show I'm not hiding anything in them whenever I fly.
If you choose to wear something bigger then some shoes you could hide something in going through an airport it doesn't take much to figure out you may have to take it off.

Nothing wrong with that at all, infact I thought they were doing that already. If you don't want to tough luck or go home.
