Beer exempt from new food labeling law

Article states "Beer, of course, contains wheat or barley which inflames the conditions of celiac disease." huh? Why should beer makes be made to put ingredients on their labels if beer is something that people with celiacs disease shouldn't be drinking in the first place? If you have celiacs disease the last thing in the world you should be looking at is the ingredients on a bottle of beer.

I just took a look at some ingredients beer CAN contain...

Irish moss seaweed of the species Chondrus crispus,
caramel, sequestering agent, acacia gum, aluminum silicate,
bentonite, calcium silicate, cellulose, China clay,
diatomaceous earth, isinglass, magnesium silicate,
Nylon 66, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone
silica gel and wood shavings derived from beech
ammonium persulphate, dimethylpolysiloxane, hydrogen peroxide

Don't forget dihydrogen oxide !

You consume beer just like food, and in fact good beer is food. So no reason to exempt it. Same with wine. It's just the manufacturers of shit beer and wine don't want you to know about all the crap they put in it. And label the calories, same as with Coke. But of course that might reduce sales, and fuck the public.
