LSD icon Owsley Stanley dies

Owsley (Bear) Stanley, a 1960s counterculture icon who worked with The Grateful Dead and was a prolific LSD producer, died in a car crash in Australia, his family said Monday. He was 76.

    I thought he died twenty years ago, but it must have been a hallucination.

    My LSD days were over a long time ago. One bad trip while camping was all it took.

    Bear - supplied the Merry Pranksters with the acid for their Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, and a lot of us besides.

    I can see him living in Oz, since they seem behind the times (or ahead of them) in some ways. Guess he kept the faith till the end. RIP.
