Religion | 519 hits | May 06 4:35 am | Posted by: Curtman

The city has asked the operator to track down where the buses were when the signs went missing, so they can interview staff that was on duty or find out if they were in the yard, in a secure storage area, when the signs went missing.

There are a number of non-believers in Kelowna, and they’re happy to come out of the closet. That was one of our main aims really; to let other non-believers know they’re not alone.”

Bullshit! The main aim was to publicly mock something they don't believe in. Period!

    None.
Have you ever heard of ads being stolen off a bus? Why would you, you can't hawk it for crack.

So, advertisements for God are done by people with an honestly held belief who just want to communicate the good news to others, but advertisements that there is no God are done by a bunch of aholes who just want to mock? No honestly held beliefs there?

actually when we were teenagers we used to take the insert ads from the inside of busses, don't ask me why. I still have one for the video game Medi-Evil in my home office.

Cool. Then you'll support my campaign to run ads on buses that specifically say that Islam is false and there is no 'Allah' and that Mohammed was just deluded?

Support it how? You're not getting dime one from me. But from a free speech standpoint, I do support it. Of course turnaround is fair play and the Muslims could say something equally derogatory about your beliefs. "Jesus was a bastard with a really good line of bullshit" say. Except they never would, since they respect Jesus.

What exactly is the purpose to preach the message of "No God"? I mean, honestly, if you don't have the "trappings" of religion, is it your mission to preach your Atheist gospel to the unconverted? Do you get extra cookies at the Atheist Club for your good deeds?

Evangelical Atheism always confused me. Unlike religions, which commonly state that "If you don't believe, you'll face consequences in the afterlife", there is no real point of bringing other people to the Atheism worldview, no?

What is the purpose to preach the message of there is a God? To put your pov out there. Same with there is no God. Personally I think both messages are idiotic. But it's a free country, and I do like the proselytizers getting a bit of their own back.

You know, people wanting to save souls for eternal damnation. Might be silly to you, but people with strong religious beliefs can certainly believe in the afterlife and the consequences that can occur during this life.
