Quote from our new speaker of the house about gay marriage...
[The Bill] is abhorrent to me, to other Catholics and to every member of every faith community … I will, therefore, be voting against this bill … I am proud to be able to do so.
Welcome to the next four years of the Official Opposition, NDP-style. Nothing but juvenile college-level brattishness and hyper-self-righteouness, performed equally by their MP's, their aides, and whatever other goofball supporters and 'activists' they have tucked away.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss the Liberals already. The NDP and their lackeys are going to prove themselves to be the absolute nadir as far as Opposition standards and decorum are concerned.

She stood close to the judges for about 20 seconds before being silently escorted out of the Senate chamber.
Despite the protest, Gov. Gen. David Johnson didn't stop reading and the speech was not interrupted.
Oh the horror. A sign for 20 seconds. Canada will never be the same.
Marcelle had served in the upper chamber for nearly a year and she said in her press release that the government's policies don't reflect the majority of Canadians.
"Harper's agenda is disastrous for this country and for my generation," Marcelle says in the release, which hit the Internet shortly after she was escorted out of the Senate.
"We have to stop him from wasting billions on fighter jets, military bases, and corporate tax cuts while cutting social programs and destroying the climate," she says.
"Most people in this country know what we need are green jobs, better medicare, and a healthy environment for future generations."

Funny how you call us juvenile but from experience while flagging for highways the first ones to start yelling at me, the most impatient, and the only ones to have nearly run me over more than once have been people further into life. Youth bring fresh ideas to antique systems, we are more willing to change things that need changing, and we aren't afraid to actually try to involve people.
Do you want the NDP to sit there utterly useless (not like they can actually stop Harper anymore) or do you want them to act like a political party trying to actually make people pay attention?
Stupid cunt. Save it for Sunday.

Career-limiting move. I note the first order of business for Harper was to fire a bunch of scientists. Bif surprise.
What are you talking about? What bif surprise?

I wonder what this has to do with the NDP anyway.

That her statement is a carbon copy of everything your darling Jack said on every campaing stop of the last election?
So if I break into a small business and give it to a big company and just call it a funding break is it Harper's fault?
