Liberal MLA sees ‘no need' for nuclear, supports increased oil sands activity

Hugh MacDonald, MLA for Edmonton-Gold Bar since 1997, was in Peace River last week as part of the provincial Alberta Liberal Leadership race and took some time before his luncheon to discuss some contentious energy issues with the Record-Gazette.

So, brainic, where does the power come from to develop the Oilsands? I agree that Peace River is a bad location for a reactor, but we still need a reactor.

A Nuclear Reactor to reduce the CO2 from Oil Sands production is a no-brainer IMO.
