I say a Darwin award candidate if she actually died because finishing her beer delayed treatment or prevented it because the alcohol prevented the ER from administering drugs which could save her life due to conflicts.
BTW congrats Winnipeg on setting a new homicide record. Aim high!

In the States the police have the authority to classify her as a "51-50" where she is considered to be a threat herself or others. They could arrest her ass and drag her to the hospital without her beer.

I think that is a good idea. Why let someone who is intoxicated, emotionally distraught or whatever obstruct common sense emergency procedures?

If there is a parallel in Canada I am not aware of it unless "obstructing a Police Officer" would cover it.
