In case you need another example of why the Bruins are a bunch of twats.

Oh, you're a drama queen, Tim. Political reasons? That's a twat maneuver. But that's not a reason to label all the Bruins that way, xerxes. Not cool.

Well, speaking as a Canucks fan, they are all a bunch of twats and neanderthals.

"Great goalie" and "stupid, stupid person" aren't mutally exclusive terms. Just ask Ken Dryden. :P

Yes, the Bruins are twats here.

Actually the only Twat here besides Xerxes, is Dave Hodge for hinting that Tim Thomas is a Klansmen

    Seriously uncool

Thomas' political beliefs are not widely-known, but he has described himself as a fan of former Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck.

That says it all right there...

Try cheering for a team that can win, perhaps that's your problem.

Although he is an American, I don't think it was the right call on his part. He should have shown respect for the office at least. Another good reason why politics and sports don't go together.......just like music, entertainment etc.

Meh, all he did was decline the invitation. Seems like the politest possible thing he could've done other than sucking it up and going. But let's be honest, if someone had done the same during the Bush years people would be applauding their courage for standing up to the horrible war monger etc...

No big deal, it's been done before... but a Glenn Beck fan, really!!! 8O

Speaking as a Bruins fan, the Canucks are a collection of nancy-boys who would be more inclined to pink tutus and "hitting" that triple axel!

Tim should have gone and just said nothing to Obama, but I'll respect his decision.
