Former B.C. premier Bill Vander Zalm has been found liable of defaming the province's one-time conflict of interest commissioner Ted Hughes and ordered to pay $60,000.

    Vander Zalm's lawyer told the court that the way his client portrayed key players like Hughes were fair comment.

    He should counter sue his editor for missing that... NOT.
    Remember the cartoon of him pulling the wings off a fly? The Zalm won that suit.

    This is a nice time to sue the Zalm, detracts him from chasing down the missing HST retraction - or maybe as harper and Crusty hope, everyone has forgotten about it by now.

    60 grand. Hell that's just chump change for people like Bill and Faye. He'll just have to pull out another brown paper bag to pay that one off. :lol:
