No one is doing Science Fiction any more, and if SyFy gave up the wrestling and catered to their original fan base they might have the money and audience to pull it off.

Yep. Terra Nova was a massive disappointment (didn't get past the pilot)
I was really hoping JJ Abrams might do a new Star Trek series but not so far. The BSG spin off has promise - that and Space 2099 maybe.
