I don't get it... groups that want to be treated equally, like everybody else, asking for separate schools. Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose?

    Do it.

Either that, or crack down hard on the culture of homophobic hate amung students.

As long as kids use 'gay' to mean 'bad', I totally support students being given the option to be away from that.

It's not segregation, it's a refugee program... School is painful HELL for gay students.

    I feel discriminated against :(

So why not teach acceptance in schools, instead of segregation?

Why take the road where you actually have to make an effort when you can take the easy way out?

For those that think that gays have problems in schools today, how difficult do you think it was for black kids in the USA when they put an end to segregation?

Did you know that there are still "all black boys-schools" in the US? Charter schools? And that many in the black community is proud of it and sees it as a "fantastic opportunity for boys to become great men"?

School is painful for fat kids, kids with acne, kids with speech impediments, kids with disabilities, kids with glasses, kids with braces....the list goes on.

We can't make a special school for everyone to avoid them being made fun of.

If you like gay sex, why is that anyone else's business? Why would you tell anyone? I don't tell people the sex acts I prefer. If you don't want to get picked on for being gay or having a foot fetish or beating off in the shower, don't tell people.

And I am sure that the Supreme Court of the United States made their decision on Plessy vs. Ferguson for the same reasons.
