The only thing positive in that article was this;

The 15-member Security Council seems prepared to back an international intervention force in the country, under the right conditions, says the BBC's Barbara Plett at the UN.

Interesting, murder rates/execution 2011(last year used):

Bahrain: 0.6/(2010)
Iran: 3.0/ 360+
Jordan: 1.8/ (2006)
Saudi Arabia: 1.0/ 82+
Morocco: 1.4/ (1993)
USA: 4.2/ 43
China: 1.0/ 1000s

Interestingly, Iran's death penalty is almost exclusively used on murderers, pedos, rapists, armed robbers, and their like. Saudi Arabia for some reason also does for sexual misconduct. China kills for about 58 crimes yet is a secular nation.

Yup, definitely Islam.
