I can only wonder if Lil' Kim read or watched 'The mouse that roared'.....guess what muttmunch....the Americans can't afford to rebuild you after they invade.

They have noting of economic value so I can't see the Chinese being behind this unless they want the Yanks to overextend themselves even more.

He went to school in Switzerland, he should have learned something there.

    Or maybe not.

Maybe it's better this way, it's time to get rid of the Hermit Kingdom,
    appeasement never works.

    I like John Kerry's comment.

“Dennis Rodman was a great basketball player and as a diplomat, he is a great basketball player. And that’s where we’ll leave it.”

The Norks think they can stare down Obama into giving them South Korea.

Hate to say, but I won't bet that they're wrong given the number of surrender monkeys Obama's been putting up for nominations lately (Hagel, Kerry, etc.)

There's a chunk of NK where it comes together with Russia and China that would make a perfect Free Trade Zone. Perhaps it would take a "surrender monkey" to propose a largely demilitarized North to the Chinese and all parties in the region could arrive at a mutually beneficial solution.
All parties that count, that is.

I don't think China would let them invade.

If the Norks go to war then China has everything to lose by backing them.

If they attack SK, China would step in rather than allow US troops near their borders. But NK leadership is not suicidal - this is just more posturing. They would have to be totally against the wall to do this.

If NK starts the hostilities and the USA steps in to help SK, I don't think China would do anything, they'd have to much to lose. I'm kinda wondering if NK is purposely trying to provoke SK and the USA into starting something.

Well the Chinese stepped in to the tune of 500,000 casualties last time,

so who knows what they are prepared for.

The world is different today, and China's role in it has changed a lot too.

They depend on the rest of us buying up "Made in China" way too much to start pissing everybody off now.

Maybe China can move all the NK people into those hundreds of empty cities they have. Then turn NK into one gigantic paddy field.

That is exactly why they prop up NK - they don't want all the refugees flooding into China.

If NK overran Seuol, it would be a real test to see if the US would respond immediately, and that would make for some interesting US/China discussions. China does't want the US in NK, but I doubt SK/US wants China in NK either.
