A man representing a group of 30 militants in Syria reportedly contacted a radicalisation research centre in London and told experts he and his group want to return to Britain
In a documentary broadcast August 27th on the Kurdish STERK TV station, "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) elements say the group has been raping men in a ceremony it describes as "marriage" and recording this to use as blackmail and force them to join.
The STERK TV documentary records the confessions of more than 20 ISIL elements who were captured by Kurdish fighters in Syria and includes horrific footage of ISIL's crimes, Firat said.
"The ISIL elements admitted that what they called 'marriage' was in fact rape. They said that every new member of the group was raped. The footage of the rape would be used as blackmail in the event of the new recruit refusing to participate in actions," it said.
So yeah, I guess some of the converts have had enough fun in the sun decapitating, crucifying and such, and are ready to go home.
Awww gee, I guess being in a REAL war zone isn't as "fun" as pretending you are on a Playstation or Xbox. Leave 'em there. Call it a self-chlorination of their collective gene pool.
As the article says, they could have very important propaganda value. Give them all long prison sentences, but let them work off some time by speaking out against jihad. This is assuming they can be convicted of anything in the first place.
If it can be proven. Why is fighting against the Assad regime considered a war crime, but killing Palestinians for Israel not? The US was urged to bomb Assad for using chemical weapons - that's ok, but fighting him on the ground is not? For that matter, why is fighting against ISIS a war crime?

Because they are fighting for ISIS
You know this for sure? Even so, was every German soldier guilty of war crimes? Every Serb soldier? Israel has been found guilty of war crimes - is everybody that fights in their army guilty? AFAIK, it has to be established on an individual level.
Sounds like these guys were duped, no matter which rebel group they fought for. They thought they were going to overthrow a repressive regime. As the article said, these guys would be great propaganda tools to prevent more idiots from going over there. Make the ones that seem redeemable a deal.

Yeah recruit Jihadis to teach the kids. That's all that's needed here. Of course. Why didn't we see it all along Miss Garrison?
The scary thing is though, you're not joking, are you?
