"The Canadian government is targeting two specific groups for resettlement: vulnerable children and religious minorities, which Prime Minister Stephen Harper indicated this week still remain a priority.
"We are going to take some measures as well to expedite the process, to make sure this process moves forward more quickly and more effectively than it has today -- but at the same time in a way that protects security, and also makes sure we are prioritizing the right people, the people who are the most vulnerable, and genuine refugees," Harper said.
No argument here. Justin, Thom, and all their media friends don't agree with us though.
We're like, rebels... And hey even us rebels have media now too:

Actually Stevo doesn't agree with himself, since he poo pooed Justin arguing for us sending more humanitarian aid, has only seen the light since that pic appeared.
As for arguing whether we should be involved in bombing ISIS, that basically comes down to an argument whether we should be farting in their general direction or not.

I don't know what you mean? I'll need a link.
Do you mean this, from your other thread?
In an interview that aired Saturday on CBC Radio's The House, Kenney ruled out the refugee airlifts proposed by the party's political rivals, saying it would be "imprudent" for Canada to do so.
"?The opposition parties who are talking about airlifting people out of the camps clearly do not understand the nuance of the situation," Kenney told CBC's Chris Hall.
Or were you talking actual aid money like this from the link in the OP?
"The government has given nearly $300 million in direct aid to Jordan so far to help them cope with the fallout from the refugee crisis."
Was Curly the substitute teacher wanting more than that?
Before this became a "crisis" ads from Steveo sneered at Justin for wanting to send more humanitarian aid to Syria, vs playing up Steveo the great warrior, flying all of 4 missions into Syria (according to CKA) and all. You must have seen those ads.
No, I still don't know what you're talking about.
Not an ad, but the only thing I can remember as far as Justin's advice on how to deal with the Syrian crisis was this?
Trudeau, who opposes Canada's part in airstrikes on Islamic States targets in Iraq, says we'd be more helpful offering cold winter advice for victims of the militants.
There's a lot of people, refugees, displaced peoples, fleeing violence who are facing a very, very cold winter in the mountains. Something Canada has expertise on is how to face a winter in the mountains with the right kind of equipment," Trudeau said.
That was when all those Yazidis were being massacred and their women sold into sex slavery. They ran to hide on the top of that mountain. Our hero - Curly, son of the socialist king, equipped with the credentials of substitute drama teacher then shared his brainstorm on how to deal with this attempted genocide. Canadians, he said, could help with "cold weather advice."
I don't know maybe he wanted to send them some Tim Horton's or something.
All of a sudden, Steveo is all about winter jackets, when a couple of weeks ago he was the fearless warrior stopping ISIS with his 4 bombing missions and humanitarian aid was for pussies.
So yeah, we are talking about the same thing then. Trudeau's suggestion of cold weather advice when the Yazidis were stuck atop the mountain. You just got the Huffpo version.
Why are we talking about Trudeau's desire send the Yazidis the Attawapiskat Zamboni or whatever cock-eyed scheme he had for sharing Canadian cold weather advice though?
Wasn't this about what actually was a rational suggestion? Helping the actual victims first, as Harper and Kenney propose.
Where does the shiny pony stand on that one?
Justin is nuts when he thinks we can make much of a difference just by arming and advising the Kurds. Mainly because we now have Turkey attacking the Kurds more than ISIS, and nobody is talking about that. Not Harper, not Obama. Turkey needs a spanking, but then of course they have cards to play too, especially with the Russkies now getting more into Syria.
But Harper is full of shit when he claims to be doing anything significant to degrading ISIS. Everybody is talking out of their ass because nobody knows what to do. Mulcair seems at least to be the most honest on this one.

Justine wants to arm the Kurds? Link please.
Well, looks like he just wants to train them. Even worse.
Let's be specific Andy. Justine's big battle strategy for combatting ISIS was he wanted to bring back the jets, but send a couple more trainers for training Kurds how to fight, cause apparently in Justine's world the one fighting force that has shown any success against ISIS, just need a couple more Canadian army trainers and they're good to go.
He never even specified how many additional "trainers?" he wanted to send.
