All of this fevered navel-gazing is just typical inner Canadian nonsense, more of the absolutely pathological need to be seen as the absolutely nicest person in the room by a country that's like a spastic puppy bouncing around going insane trying to get everyone and everything to like him. Dropping bombs on terrorists = bad. Way too full of aggression and judgement of other cultures plus RACISM! Putting on blue helmets for the UN, even if your troops get tied to trees by the likes of the Serbian militia, = "nice nice nice nice nice, can't you see how irredeemably NICE we are? Oh, will someone please give us a scratch behind the ears and acknowledge our niceness!", like when the Springfield teachers went on strike and Lisa Simpson flipped out with no one at work to grade her. It's total mental and emotional bullshit of course, because the other participants in things like the bombing of ISIS or the fight against the Taliban/Al Qaeda simply don't care about this aspect of the Canadian character. "Show up or don't show up" is how the Americans look at these things. Let us know when you make up your mind and keep your batshit insane low self-esteem internal dialogue to yourselves.
Pretty sure if these kind were in charge back in WW2 we would have completely withdrawn from the fight by the middle of 1943 because of the collective conniption fit the usual suspects would have been having about dropping bombs on Nazis; after all who are we to judge the culture of those sending those trains full of untermensch to those highly efficient processing facilities? This is why I say that modern Canadian patriotism should pretty much be limited to non-offensive things like waving flags at Olympic hockey games. Anything else, like bombing death-cult psychopaths, simply makes too many of the snowflakes too deeply uncomfortable.
They, of course, are running the next phase of the war against ISIS. Canada was not invited to the meeting of their defence ministers in Paris. Those nations, according to U.S. Defence Secretary Ashton Carter, "are playing a significant role in both the ground and air components" of the war.
Ouch. Evidently, Canada is not
Schizo conservatives. Still thinking a six plane Harper committment was a big deal, griping that they shouldn't pull out while bitching that they haven't.
Just fucking pull out now, and face one reasoned complaint, they were supposed to stay until Feb. and face demands from the people that voted for them, not the sore losers.
I noticed there's 0 shares on the article... funny. My brother in law's posted every minor gripe about Trudeau on FB since last summer.

You probably think it wasn't a snub not being invited to the discussion about ISIS.

Oh, and it's a little more than just "6 planes" in theatre. It's, six CF-18 fighter jets, an Airbus CC-150 Polaris air-to-air refueling tanker and two CP-140 Aurora surveillance aircraft, along with 700 military personnel.

Who gives a shit what they think? It's obvious 6 planes is a fart in a windstorm and they know it even if some local gasbags don't.
You're aware of other Canadian assets in the theatre? Then wow, add it to my list of conservative schizoid - cuz they're the ones making a stink over 6 planes, not me.

Yeah, who gives a shit about our allies.
How many planes do we have in total. Can we afford to risk these 6 for a mission that doesn't accomplish all that much? If so, leave the planes in place, what the hell, can't dance. It puts us in line with the other allies. But as everybody keeps saying, planes alone will never do the job. Nobody's willing to arm the Kurds with the heavy weapons they need. They'd rather supply the Iraqis, which run and leave the weapons for daesh. They'll never solve this problem without connecting with the Sunni tribes who are right now supporting daesh. Show those tribes people that they're better off tossing out daesh, give them a country of their own or a lot of autonomy. In Syria, I don't know, doesn't seem to be any faction that's worth supporting.
People keep saying we need boots on the ground when the truth is we already have boots on the ground the Kurds and the reason they're not being armed is because of Turkey and no one wants to hold them accountable except Russia.

They don't give a shit about Canada's obligation as a member of NATO.
their lack of political will and moral resolve helped create.
Ah, just a lack of political will and moral resolve, eh? So if you were in charge, how would you resolve the Syrian situation? Or Iraq for that matter? You should totally send your ideas to the allies, maybe they just haven't figured it out like you have.
