The top priority and mandate of the police has been and will remain "increase the budget", any means necessary, at the cost of any national security of the nation. Whether this National Security threat comes in the form of economic suffering for the nation, human right abuses, "truth" (as we saw with the charges against four officers who did what other do, and simply planted evidence and lied) or in the form of lack of trust by our allies; the police will always chew up and spit out the best in order to maintain those who don't have the courage to ensure change.
We saw it with Julien Fantino, maybe the worst Chief and member of government in our history, we saw it with Blair and the G20 fiasco, we will see it with Saunders. If anyone thinks Bob Paulson is some revolutionary who will make the zaccardelli years look like a distant past, think again.
