Doesn't most of Montreal sit on or in the crater of a dormant(no such thing as an extinct one) volcano?

they say that Mount Royal "may" have been a volcsano but in all the yars I lived there we never heard much about it..

I've heard the volcano thing too, but I can't make out any crater on Mount Royal.
