Zoraja, I think that's just low tide.

That'd be high tide... The Petitcodiac has the tidal bore from the Bay of Fundy, but it's not as high anymore due to a causeway they put in.

I'm confused, if it was high tide, wouldn't there be water through there? That all looks like wet sand to me.

Well, it's not the best picture to judge from, but I'm pretty sure that's just ice along the banks, and the water's fairly high. If it were low, the main part of the river would be lower... hard to say, though.
