"All your bullshit bravado and whinging about leftists betrays an unwillingness to use reason, 2Cdo." Whay bullshit bravado is that? The fact that I've spent time in the Middle East? Hatred is hatred and you need to take the blinders off. Is Isreal innocent, of course not! But keep in mind they are ...

Robair, for someone who claims to be a left wing love thy neighbour type, you seem to be harbouring some hatred. I asked a question you reponded with insults. Contrary to what you said about terrorists not being born, in fact in alot of cases they are being taught to hate the west. How do you propos...

Avro, without you thinking I'm being a dickhead or something, what would you suggest the west do in regards to the war on terror? I'm just looking for suggestions without being judgemental, it seems alot of people are against the war on terror but offer no alternatives. I won't even bother with the ...

Maybe the man is a conservative, maybe not. You seem to be of the opinion he is. I based my opinions on his news columns of the past year or so, that seemed to have a decidedly liberal bent. Maybe he has changed his views, it isn't unheard of(Scott Brison comes to mind). The gist of the matter is th...

I agree that there should be some form of disaster relief organization and it should be a CIVILIAN organization. The problem in Canada is as always funding. As for the military being solely based on peacekeeping I disagree with that. The primary function of a military is to prepare for war, peacekee...

Wow, it doesn't really matter how you see it. Thanks for your 2 cents worth but it really doesn't matter how you see it!
So according to you my views on something don't matter?
Funny but I've been thinking the same about most of your pro-NDP posts, they don't really matter!

Smokin Joe, if I understand you correctly, as a Canadian it is OK to get rid of the Canadian flag if you want to make more money but to raise awareness of an issue where the PM lied is not? :? I tend to be conservative in my beliefs and even I think that it is worse to use the flag for monetary gain...

To bring this thread back on track
I would definitely have to pull for Australia. I spent 2 months there back in 1984 and the place was beautiful, friendly people, and good beer!

I'm still waiting for the source of that quote. As for him always being a conservative every column I've read in the last year has had a definite left or liberal slant to it, just the way I see it! As far as the snide remarks I have decided as my New Years resolution not to initiate any, but if they...

Do you have a source for that quote? It's not that I don't believe that it is from Margolis, but every column I've read of his in the last year has had a decidedly liberal bent. If in fact it is his writing I will be more than surprised. But in keeping with the tone of this forum I noted your commen...

Eric Margolis a conservative? The man is extremely anti-bush and is in fact a very pro-liberal supporter.Other than that I do agree that the world financial market is definitely going to be an interesting ride for the immediate future.

I agree the flag should not be used as a bargaining tool, but I'm curious as to how people think of Paul Martin flying foreign flags on his ships to avoid paying Canadian taxes that he helped set -up ref. rates and tax brackets? :o

Yes the US is well known for rapid response be it war or humanitarian reasons. But to use this disaster as a means to spout bullshit( my country is better than your country) is way out of line! Both countries are contributing whatever they can, unfortunately in Canada it takes just a little longer t...

I'm curious, for all the people who hate the US(_i3eef) what do you care if Fox News likes us or not? You sound surprised that they don't like us when you pull a Carolyn Parrish by calling them "Those fucking Americans" I personally don't give a flying rats ass what Fox News or for that matter the C...

Rik, call me suspicious, but when someone from Belfast is asking for the location of a British soldier I tend to think intentions are no good. If that is not the case then I apologise. The reason I say that is I have friends in the British Army who have bounties on them from the IRA. Again I apologi...
