Forum: Canadian Politics   Topic: And Harper still won't accept her Resignation!

The way she describes the handling of the issue as "sexy" and "hot", it's pretty obvious she's very much aware of public attention. The resignation could very well be just a PR move, and she has no intention of resigning. Never trust any statement that comes out of minister's off...

So an RTS is just some people in a chatroom or something swearing at each other and misspelling everything?

do you really think giving back his medals will do anything? Did the medals "do anything" in the sense you mean when they were given to him in the first place? No, it was a symbolic gesture to recognize his involvement in and contributions to the military, and giving them back is likewise...

The only fucking negative rep I've ever gotten has been from people that just pick any post of mine to rate, solely due to the fact that I've rated one of their posts negatively. At least if they had some actual reason other than that to rate my posts, it wouldn't be so ridiculous.

I find this issue funny, because if a 'noob' comes in and posts something that's already been posted a while ago, he's attacked for not checking to see if there was already a thread on the topic. If he finds an existing thread and posts in that, he's blamed for 'necro'ing. Obviously the guy in the p...

Whatever's going to do it, it's not going to be through eliminating any particular ideal, because that's stupid and never going to happen. There's just an inherent "us/them" mentality that people have, and it'll always be able to manifest itself in racism, bigotry, rivalries, etc, and it's...

i guess the local farmers market is a start. You've got to be careful with market vendors, too - often times they're selling the same Mexican vegetables you get in the grocery store, which pisses me off to no end - just grocery store shopping without the roof and walls. Obviously this time of year ...

I'd miss the radio out of any of those - CBC television could disappear tomorrow for all I care, but there are some decent shows on CBC radio that don't have comparable alternatives in Canada.

Scrap 'the hour' and bring back Finklemans 45s!

You definitely need to be careful - I've seen the signs at the grocery store for produce say "Product of Canada", but if you look at the sticker/label on the actual product, it says it's from Chile or Mexico or somewhere... not sure if that's just using old signs for new produce or what, b...

Doesn't look like they were trying to commit suicide, but it's pretty fucking crazy. (not graphic whatsoever) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzU6aefAADo Also, I don't know what you people think you're accomplishing in this thread - best reaction is to add a person to your blocked list and find bette...

Relax; they're just looking for the good spots to watch shit go down in 2012. Funny thing is, a UFO is simply any unidentified flying object, but if someone identifies it as an alien spacecraft, it's no longer a UFO. No, I just read/watch the news. Here's a thought: stop worrying about all the awful...

I had heard a rumor that automatic dialers were illegal but never checked it out, and this story made me think to do it. It doesn't seem like they're illegal, but there's this, which was from 2004: Predictive Dialing Devices Some telemarketing organizations use automatic dialers to place telephone c...

I'd say the fact that he's making a list in the first place is part of his problems, not simply a reaction to them.
