“I didn’t really realize how much of a hassle I’d cause for everybody.” That’s what University of Toronto law school grad Alex Kenjeev told the Business Insider website about his decision to repay his $114,460 student loan in cash. He pays the tuition for obtaining multiple degrees in whatever way ...

Sad that debate cannot rely souly on the facts, that the atitude of "It is not enough that I win, but that you must fail" becomes the norm. Debate, from the Heartland institute? The same organization that wanted to equate Global warming with Ted kaczynski and tie the unabomber to Presiden...

And that's completely stupid. Would we talking about this if Ontario wanted to record VIN numbers of cars sold? The arguments against the long gun registry don't exist for the ledgers. I did read the article by the way, two weeks ago when it was new, and again when uwish necro'd the thread. There i...

And firearms licensing has always been a federal responsibility So now you're going to argue about licensing? The ledger is not a license of any kind, it's a record of sale. "I instruct all chief firearms officers to ensure that the licensing conditions you impose on business records pursuant ...

But the legislation is titled "the Ending the Long-gun Registry Act" and therefore that is the 'spirit' of the legislation. Having Provincial DFOs create a de-facto registry for use by the RCMP is against the spirit of the legislation which they have taken a vow to uphold! The "Long ...

You can't prove me wrong as I have made a point of never saying anything like 'you are ____'. Always 'that is ____'. If I find myslef approaching the 'Dark Side' I delete the comment I was making and come back in a hour. If you can prove me wrong, I'll happily apoligise, as I never ever mean to per...

OTI could simply adopt the same attitude, and not take offense where Martin offered none. Rebutting Martin's opinion is easy after that, as no one has been convicted of murder in the Dzienkanski incident, so no one is a 'murderer'. Incorrect adjective. Did they get away with murder? That's a matter...

I'm curious as to why some of these people bother wearing a mask?

Half aren't wearing masks in that photo. Scott Summers needs the glasses to contian his power. I think Sunfire and Thunderbird had 'normal' lives in which they didn't want to be identified.

Wolverine doesn't always wear one.

Well, I can't prove you wrong. I've certainly felt insulted by you, but maybe that's just you making light of their opinion. So, how about an example - how would OTI have made light of Martin's opinion without a personal insult. I'm not sure I see the distinction. You mean like "your opinion i...

hence the justified insult . . . There is no such thing. Well we're all guilty of that, even you, Caleb. Or did you mean there's no justification for hurling the first insult, replying in kind is fine? In that case, it would be nice if we had an insult meter that raised a flag when the first one wa...

I notice though, that there is no reduction in premiums for those of us never having used the system, and EI funds still go to General Revenue. I don't think there should be any reductions to what's being paid into it. You never know what you may need it. After I've paid into it all I can collect, ...
