For the Rectory only though. Can't have them distracting Sunday Mass.

Up next on the pole... Mary; who also deliver a sermon on the story of Jezebel.

Yeah, going to hell for that...

But . . . are you? ;)

I was thinking they could move past the old appearance, and decorate it in a new way. then the No surprise the leftists openly advocating for a Notre Dame mosque. Happily, no one in France will give 2 shits about your opinions. :P :P :P      Obvious troll is obvious. ;)

That, and it would be a shit show if they wanted to "Iranian up" a French cathedral, lol. Not necessarally 'Islamification' of it I mean. Just the way they turn any surface into a place of art that draws the eye. I mean, look at the roof on the last one! They intentionally created more su...

Recyclable = not sure if relevant when building something that is meant to last forever? but, yes. If anything ever happened to the building . . . just thinking ahead. ;) Configurable in a way that will fully conceal modern accoutrements? Not sure. Am sure about CF wrapped beams ability to do this ...

I'd still like to see a transparent roof (transparent wood composite, transparent Aluminium), maybe have the spire like a "floating spire" Have the roof trusses made from Aluminium (brushed, so they don't blind everyone when it's sunny). I Think it would look really smart. I'd also leave ...

It bothered me to see some Muslims rejoicing that the Church burned. I'm sure some Atheists cheered too. Anyone who celebrated is ignorant piece of shit with no concept of history and no idea of culture. Given that it was a random youtube video that was taken down, I'm going with my hard earned kne...

Notre-Dame fire: How new tech might help the rebuild Might the rush to rebuild result in an architectural travesty? The short answer is that new technology has been applied to preserve similarly precious monuments in France - so much so that even the repairs gained "listed" status in time...

I agree, new isn't always better. But there are newer ways to accomplish an old design so that they will last. A galvanized steel roof for example, and extruded aluminium trusses could be made to look like wood without all the flammability and far less upkeep. Don't be cheap. Put zinc on top, and s...

What I don't understand is why the automatic assumption is always new = better. There are many areas in new, where old was vastly better, but new priorities are very different, and new construction reflects those priorities. I agree, new isn't always better. But there are newer ways to accomplish a...

Why recreate the thing build 800 years ago that keeps failing? Why build a building? Modern structures wouldn't last a fraction of that time without considerably more upkeep. People want a place, and they want it to look a certain way. I get that. But we don't have to rebuild it with crappy oak wra...

One idea I have heard that I like is to rebuild the collapsed spire using recent 3D images to create a computer milled aluminum spire that will be visually identical to the original. I was thinking more chrome or carbon fibre, and crystal or transparent parts that make it something that would refle...

I personally love how Kenney has put it on the table to cancel payments to the other provinces regardless of the wishes of Ottawa. [B-o] Unless I’m mistaken, transfer payments come out of general tax revenue. I don’t think Kenny is dumb enough to tell people not to pay their taxes. More likely this...
